Hyundai expands Veloster lineup

Hyundai’s Veloster lineup will receive the special-edition treatment late this year with the addition of the Re:Mix trim level.

The three-door coupe will offer a body kit, Mobis blacked-out wheels, LED headlamps and taillamps and push-button start. The car was unveiled here today at the Specialty Equipment Market Association convention.

It will come in only one color, which Hyundai calls sprint gray, and about 2,000 will be produced, Hyundai said.

The Veloster Re:Mix will go on sale in late November or early December and be priced at $20,675 with destination charges, Hyundai said.

Hyundai sold 28,338 Velosters through September. Comparisons to last year aren’t useful because the vehicle was just beginning to hit the market.
